Good NEWS! Today at oncologist visit, we got the results of the CT scan that happened on the 25th. The tumor/mass has gone from approximately 4 X 3.5 X 4 1/3 inches… to about 1 1/2 x 0.9 inches. There was no third measurement on this latest scan. That’s amazing. Dr. thinks it was from the new chemo, and it could have been, but I think that a large part of the original large mass was infection. Once the radiation broke that up, the 14 day IV antibiotics cleared that out and his recovery had begun. We are down again on pain medicines and he is doing fine. He has had the foley removed and all is going well. All amazingly good news. Chemo will continue for 3 months and then they will do another scan. We will see surgeon to see if there is any chance of removal, etc. but oncologist thinks it’s still too early to consider that as the margins around the mass may not be clear. Your prayers are being heard. Keep praying.

New developments here – my husband and son are both coughing and congested. I am not sure if this will cancel our chemo on Wednesday or not. I have messaged the oncology dept about it. Neither has a fever and so far both are saying “colds” but it still may cancel his chemo treatment. As a family it’s going to be a busy week – and truly I am hoping it goes well enough that we can still do all we have planned.
