Chemo #1 happened in the hospital as his hemoglobin was too low to do it without several blood transfusions. It did happen in hospital and it wasn’t as bad as we were expecting. Took him a few days to really be able to get up after it and move, but it has been a good progression since then. He is eating and moving, still in major pain even with the meds – and darn scared of what the second Chemo treatment will be like on Monday.
Many things have happened since this journey began and some make me just in awe of what God can do — others make me just want to cry. It’s not easy being the care taker in all of this at my age. So many things to deal with, more than even I expected to have to deal with — and yet, God has sustained me through it all. Thanks for your prayers, keep praying.
I am not back to posting, but thought I needed to just take the time and do one, so you know I am still here, trying my best to just keep up with this new version of my life and update you.

Maybe… I should call this… sweepstakes and news! Thank you for your kind messages. Our battle against cancer starts this coming week, with PET scan, Port insertion and then a few more appointments before the actual Chemo starts. I am thankful for all your prayers and God has been good so far with many of the issues we are facing.
