Things continue to go well for my son on the maintenance chemo treatments. We are working on the paperwork right now to be able to get him back to work before the end of the month. Since he had been working from home for the same company for at least 5 years before his cancer journey, that is one of the accommodations we will ask for – that he can continue to work from home. He will have some other limitations and will be continuing chemo but his goal is to be able to work enough for medical benefits. Thank you for every single prayer!

Been a while, and it’s all good news. My son continues to get better. He is now on a maintenance chemo program (less chemo meds). He has the ability to skip some if he wants to for most any reason, for example, he has company visiting, he needs a break, etc. The cancer is not gone (per the oncologist), and they are continuing the treatments and doing CT scans to make sure it stays that way. I’d say very good news. They don’t want to disturb or interfere with things where his cancer is/was located, so they aren’t planning on a surgery. We are going to see if we can see if we can get the ostomy bag reversed but no plans on trying to remove anything since they don’t have a measurable mass to remove. Thank you to all who are praying for him. Now we need to pray he can start moving back into a normal life. He has anxiety about all of it and talks about doing it, but hasn’t make the move forward yet. He has time. His leave ends sometime in March — but not much.
